Way back in 1957...

Nam Seng Noodle House started business at the former Catholic High School in Queen Street selling macaroni and chicken porridge.

In 1959...

We moved to the National Library at Stamford Road where we started selling our signature dish, Wanton Mee. This soon became a favourite with many people including members of parliament who loved the traditional way Grandma prepared this dish.

Fried Rice, Beef Horfun and Seafood Horfun then joined the menu and soon the long queues for Grandma's food was a common sight (and still is).

In 1995...

After the Land Office repossessed our site at the National Library, we relocated to Joo Chiat Place and settled there for the next 3 years.  Then in 1999, Mr. Chia Boon Pin from Far East Organization invited us to Far East Square.  Many of our loyal customers have followed us from location to location and we thank you all for your continuing support.

Today...

We are still at Far East Square.  Everything on the menu is still prepared and cooked the same way Grandma has done over the last 50 years.  And would you believe that Grandma is still working and going strong!  Come and enjoy one of the last few places that serves great traditional food - because everyone loves Grandma's food!
